Argand Solutions provide a technology solution that enables renewables and energy storage to connect to the electrical Grid through dynamic control. They ensure that they do not generate when the Grid is under "stress" due to too much generation and vice versa.

Solution to a problem

Our electrical networks were not built to handle the complex power flows from distributed renewable generation & / or energy storage. To enable the significant increase in the installation of low carbon energy sources to help lower costs and lower carbon emissions, network operators have to impose physical connection constraints to dynamically manage the power flows.

On a mission

Our mission is to provide the integrated hardware / software solution to enable optimised energy control strategies as a service - allowing asset owners to access optimal financial returns, the network operators to achieve optimal power flows and society to achieve its zero carbon goal.

Participation in the Reconomy Project

We pitched our businees at the Community of Dragons event in 2014.

We asked for £20k from investors via a revenue share structure.

We gave investors 150% of their original investment at a rate of 5% of the revenue generated by the business. So the investors received back £30k for their original £20k investment.
It took us about 4 years to repay so they generated an approx 12% compound return over the 4 years.

We used the money to hire 2 software developers and to develop our data visualisation offering to draw more clients in.
